Brought Back Foundation – Press Release

Newly launched Brought Back Foundation aim to offer YOU a way back into football, after seemingly you’re on your way out.

Launched on December 2nd  2019, the Brought Back Foundation (BBF) is a new and innovative support structure that aims to bridge the gap for both up-and-coming and professional footballers towards the next chapter of their lives after football.

Having secured Clarke Carlisle and Kieran Bywater as BBF ambassadors, both of which have suffered with mental health problems once exiting the stage of football, a statement from BBF said the following: “This is an exciting time for everyone involved with BBF, we aim to change football for the better by having Clarke and Kieran involved we aim to offer current and ex footballers an opportunity, something they haven’t had in the past.”

For the youngsters at academy level that are trying to get into the professional game, BBF will provide them with education opportunities as well as improving their life skills so that they have a fall-back option should their ambitions of professional football not come to fruition.

Retiring professional players will also be given invaluable guidance that they need in trying to find a new job avenue in life after football, whether that be staying in football in either a coaching or punditry role, or a different interest away from the sport.
